Wildfire Season Outlook
It's already been a difficult year for farmers and ranchers.
Now, we look ahead to fire season.
Bryan Henry with the National Interagency Fire Center says some of the conditions of this past winter and spring could contribute to an above normal Western wildfire season.
It gets complicated as fire managers discuss fighting wildfires while still dealing with a pandemic.
Crews will take steps, such as limiting the number of crew members in aircraft and trucks, to enable them to fight fires while practicing social distancing when possible.
