Soil biology analytics company Pattern Ag released their 2024 Predictive Ag Report, which drew on data from the world’s largest soil metagenomics database to predict pest and pathogen threats around the midwest this year for corn and soybean farmers. Pattern Ag co-founder Cam Norgate says this report gives farmers and agronomic advisors a good indicator of their risks for key pests and pathogens.

Norgate… “What we're able to do is take all the analysis in aggregate that we've done over the past year with our growers and their advisors, and we package that up into high level view of what's happening across the Midwest for many of the most concerning pests and pathogens. And so the highlight of the Predictive Ag Report is focused around what we call pressure maps. And these maps show you for the key pathogens of corn and soybeans where are we seeing the highest pressure throughout the Midwest. And where do we think in a predictive way, they're gonna see real issues in the next growing season. So it's all about what's happening as we go into this 2024 growing season, predicting where we're gonna see the highest risk for these wide range of pests and pathogens.”

The report includes maps of soil-borne pests and pathogens as well as foliar pathogens and biofertility. Download the free report at pattern.ag.
