**U.S. Representative, and Western Caucus Chair Dan Newhouse released a statement following passage of the “Trust the Science Act”, a bill that directs the Department of the Interior to remove Endangered Species Act protections for the gray wolf.

Newhouse says by all metrics, the gray wolf population has recovered, but instead of pursuing common sense, science-backed approaches to delisting, this Administration continues to weaponize the ESA against private landowners.

The legislation now goes to the Senate.

**The National Agricultural Aviation Association is participating in Ag on the Mall at the National Mall in Washington, D.C. this week.

Themed the Future of Food and Farming, it showcases America’s equipment manufacturers, farmers, ranchers, and innovators all working to drive the tradition of doing more with less environmental impact.

The NAAA will display a Bell Jet Ranger Helicopter equipped with a liquid spray system for applying crop protection materials.

**The U.S. government is collecting samples of ground beef from retail stores in states with outbreaks of bird flu in dairy cattle.

Reuters says the government is confident the meat supply is safe.

Both the Centers for Disease Control and the World Health Organization have said the overall public health risk is low, but it is higher for those with exposure to infected animals.
