What would you do with one-hundred grand? Well let’s not put the cart before the horse. First off, how do you get $100,000?

The American Farm Bureau Federation, in partnership with Farm Credit, is doubling the top prize at this year’s Ag Innovation Challenge. Chase Heineman, director of industry affairs for AFBF...

“The winner will take home $100,000, and really the decision to double the prize comes from the realization that everyday entrepreneurs are working to address the challenges facing the agriculture sector. Farm Bureau wants to ensure they have the resources to continue that great work and so by doubling the prize money, AFBF hopes to double the impact.”

He says the Challenge is open to anyone with an innovative idea for rural America…

“Any startup with an innovative business plan or product or service that helps meet the challenges facing America's farmers, ranchers, and rural communities. We're really looking for entrepreneurs from all backgrounds and from all regions of the country who can produce those solutions for our agricultural communities.”

Interested entrepreneurs can apply now through June 15…

“So, they can visit our website. There they can learn more information about the program as a whole as well as find the application.”
