Cash Cattle Rally Again

This is Matt Rice with the Ag Information Network and today’s Market Line Report for Wednesday. The Beef Market continues to find momentum as Cash Cattle trend higher. Let’s go to Virginia McGathey with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for May closed the day Up ¼, to finish at 5-47 ½. May Corn was Unch, to finish the day at 4-41 ¾. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for May were Dn 1 ½, to settle at 5-97 ¼.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein was Unch to Dn 5, ranging from 5-60 to 6-00. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for May were Unch to Dn 10, ranging 5-50 to 5-90. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for May were Dn 1 ½ & Up 3 ½, ranging from 6-62 ¼ to 6-77 ¼. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for May were Up 2, ranging from 7-62 to 7-67.

Live Cattle for April were Up $.65, closing at 185.25. April Feeder Cattle were Up $1.32 ½, to finish the day at 256.70. April Class III milk was Dn $.15, to settle at 15.77.
