The research, conducted at the Fresno State farm in 2021-22, indicates this method outperforms traditional recharge basins in both efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

**American Farm Bureau members play an important role in their communities by serving at the local, state, and national levels.
Several newly appointed volunteers will provide leadership beginning in 2024 as members of AFB’s Young Farmers and Ranchers’ Promotion and Education Committees.

**The House and Senate Chicken Caucuses sent letters to the USDA asking for a 180-day extension to the implementation period for the new Packers and Stockyards Act.
The rule, titled “Transparency in Poultry Contracting and Tournaments,” included a 75-day compliance period when it was published back in November.
The extra time should give stakeholders and constituents time to thoroughly understand and comply with the rule’s many requirements.
