White House ‘Investing in Rural America’ Tour

President Biden and Ag Secretary Vilsak kicked off their “Investing in Rural America” tour late last month. The White House’s Senior Advisor for Rural Engagement Will McIntee joins us.

“The focus is on deploying the cabinet and senior administration officials out to the rest of the country to highlight all of the investments in rural America coming from this administration. And you know, hit on a couple of key areas where we are making some of these critical investments. Especially when it comes to delivering clean, reliable water in rural America. An estimated 2.2 million people in the US lack basic running water and indoor plumbing in their homes. And through the bipartisan infrastructure law, we're investing in our water and wastewater infrastructure to fundamentally change quality of life for millions of people in rural America to deliver that affordable clean drinking water.”
