With your Southeast Regional Ag News, I am Haylie Shipp. This is the Ag Information Network.

I always love when I can pull somebody out of the field to do an interview and that is exactly what happened last week with Morris Henry, Branch Manager out of Moultrie, Georgia, with Helena Agri-Enterprises, LLC. I wanted to talk to Morris about how, as planting continues in the Southeast, growers can maximize their herbicide investment…

“Well I think it all starts with a good, pre-emergence herbicide application. That kind of lays the foundation for the season for effective weed management throughout the season. But to help maximize those results, you always need to include the right adjuvant in the tank. That’s what’s going up the soil-applied chemistry stay in the upper part of the soil profile where it can be the most effective and last the longest amount of time for the grower.”

He said it all comes down to the right adjuvant…

“We have a lot of windy days, a lot of unusual weather pop up on us in the Southeast. So the best is to go with the adjuvant that has multifunction and we also recommend Grounded with our pre-emergence herbicides just to provide you the soil deposition you’re looking for along with drift control and compatibility to offset any mixing issues that might hurt us for a uniform mixture of getting the right herbicides to the ground.
