On Friday we reported on the Real California Milk Excelerator, which the California Milk Advisory Board is hosting to help bring new innovative dairy products to the market. VP of Communications Jennifer Giambroni encourages companies at all stages to apply for the program.

Giambroni… “Now, if they're too early stage, they actually could fall into another category that we've added this year, and this is kind of our incubator bootcamp. And this is an option for companies, they have a great idea, but maybe they're too early for the competition. We don't want to lose these products. They're not ready, but we want to get them into the mentorship program. We want to have a better understanding of who they are so we can make them connect them with some of our resources and get them to maybe the next stage in the competition for the following year.”

For companies that are further along, this is the biggest dairy competition of its kind with over $650,000 worth of prizing to be awarded to innovative Performance and Recovery products made with dairy.

Giambroni… “We want to support innovation using cow's milk dairy products. We know what a wonderful core ingredient we have. I mean, nothing else performs like it nothing else tastes like it. And we want to be able to support more of those innovative products on the shelf.”
