Grain Markets Closed Yesterday Trading Weaker

This is Tom Allen with the Market Line Report for May 10th. Grain markets closed yesterday trading weaker, Jack Scoville explains the trends in the grain market from the floor of the CME in Chicago. Scoville "Market getting ready for the USDA report in Chicago. Markets are expected to be looking bearish especially on the corn side." Chicago May Wheat prices were dn 6 ¼, at 447. May corn ended the day dn 8 ¼, at 367. Portland prices for soft white wheat of 10 ½ % protein for May were dn 7 ¼ -unch, ranging from 5-26 ½ to 5-75. Hard Red Winter wheat with 11 ½ % protein, prices for May were dn 5 ¼ to 7 ¼, ranging from 5-21 ¼ to 5-31 ¼. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for May were dn ¾ - 4 ¾, ranging from 6-20 ¼ to 6-30 ¼. June Live Cattle closed the day up $2.57 ½, at 123.25. May Feeder cattle were up $3.42 ½, at 150.80. May class III milk was dn 12 cents at, 12-75.
