This is the Agribusiness Update...I'm Greg Martin...

More than 75,000-pounds of frozen, fully-cooked chicken nugget products are being recalled by a Tyson Foods plant - according to USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service. Tyson five-pound bags of fully cooked white meat nuggets with a best if used by date of January 26, 2015 or February 16, 2015 are part of that recall. Also - 20-pound bulk packs of Spare Time Fully Cooked Nugget-Shaped Chicken Breast Pattie Fritters with Rib Meat are part of the recall.

USDA Agricultural Research Service scientists have found a gene in ancient grasses that could help make wheat more resistant to Ug99 - a type of stem rust that constantly evolves. While this fungus hasn't been found in the U.S. - it's considered a potential threat to up to 90-percent of the world's wheat. Scientists are studying a diverse group of grasses - including einkorn wheat, emmer wheat and goatgrass.

That's today's Agribusiness Update from the Ag Information Network.
