Moteur de Vine

Moteur de Vine

Moteur de Vine. I’m Greg Martin with today’s Fruit Grower Report.

If you like motorcycles and you enjoy a glass of wine, here is an event that you will want to be a part of. It’s called the Moteur de Vine and according to Bill denHoed with Vigneron Management, it’s a chance to help building something important.

DENHOED: So this year is year number two and one of the things we decided to do was to make sure that everybody in the state knows that the Clore Center is not a Prosser project but a state project.

Proceeds from the ride all go to help fund the Walter Clore Wine and Culinary Center in Prosser. This is year two for the ride and last years event took place in the Prosser area.

DENHOED: That’s why we went down to Walla Walla this year and our plan it to go to Chelan next year and take it around to all the different AVA’s in the state. That way we want everybody to feel that they’re part of the program.

This year’s event will take place on Saturday, June 27 and you’ll want to get registered as soon as possible.

DENHOED: We’re going to have a nice barbequed lunch at Northstar Winery and then we’re going to do a little more cruising and we’ve got a private wine tasting at Leonetti Cellars and the evening event is a big barbeque at Dunham Cellars. And we’re probably 200 miles and we’re going to take a little ride up into the Blues and mainly just truck around the Walla Walla area from Milton-Freewater up to Mill Creek and all parts in between.
