In the past, we have asked anglers and boaters in general, particularly throughout the Rocky Mountain states to be responsible with regard to keeping their watercraft clean of such invasive species as quagga and zebra muscles. Well, we aren't the only advocates. Pay attention to the Play Clean Go National Campaign. Although Belle Bergner, Play Clean Go National Campaign Director is fighting invasive pests she wants to and apologies for the pun. Put a bug in people's ears.

We have a new pledge on our Web site playcleango.org. and the pledge asks outdoor recreationists to commit to cleaning their gear every time they go out and when they come back.

She's talking about the new play clean go campaign that is being launched this year.

We want people to really nail in and dial in this behavior right at the start of the outdoor season always remembering to clean their gear. So the sooner we start now the more it's going to be common behavior that we do every time we go out. The campaign chose to highlight the first week of June National Trails Day was last Saturday and National Get Outdoors Day is this coming Friday. USDA's hungry pest campaign is one of the main sponsors.
