Marketing specialist for the Red Angus Association grew up surrounded by cattle. Katie Ochsner is a marketing specialist for the Red Angus Association but she came by her present job very honestly given that she was raised on a cattle farm. “I was very active, myself, my brother, and all of my cousins, were very active on the family operation. We were helping feed, calve, brand, vaccinate and all of that. I grew up on a very strong production operation because the whole family was always involved. It is a family owned and operated operation. We do not hire anybody else for the cattle side of things. My grandpa is technically retired but he still does a lot of things and is very active on the ranch. Currently the operators are my dad, two of my uncles, my cousin and my brother. I’m a fifth-generation cowgirl.
