Why Obama Can't Be A Rancher
Several of our past presidents have spent their early and retirement years on ranches, working cattle even chopping wood but there is no way this President could ever be a rancher. I’m Susan Allen for Open Range . I’ll be back to tell you why after the break. Reflecting on the current administration it came to me Obama simply doesn’t have what it takes to ranch. For starters no rancher leaves the spread when there is hard work to do. I can’t figure out how a Commander in Chief commands anything when he is at every celebrity event or talk show, heck he’s a regular on The View and out campaigning full time. For the ranching community the western swing is a lively dance. Obama knows it as million dollar excursion to California, Oregon, and Washington, a democratic "hail Mary" campaign trip courtesy of " we" the tax payers. Security costs in Seattle alone topped $150,000 not to mention delayed flights and blocked air space. While a rancher hates to inconvenience others this president doesn't give it a thought. Ranchers also don’t send their family to vacation in Spain when they're going broke, rather the family pulls together and works harder to bay bills. Speaking of work, on a ranch the hard worker earns the job sometimes even better pay. Not in the Obama Administration where jobs and stimulus money are dolled out only to the unions. Finally, out west a handshake seals a deal, not Chicago politics, Senate seats aren’t sold, you ride for the brand not the European Union, you’re with your kids on father day not the golf course, dogs are man's best friend not a photo op. ( Hey where is that presidential pup? ) In a nutshell just a few reasons why Mr. president you’ve been a heck of a community organizer but you simply can’t ever be an American rancher.
