Since 1968, the Public Lands Council (PLC) has actively represented cattle and sheep producers who hold public lands grazing permits.

Today, more than 22,000 public land ranchers maintain 250 million acres of U.S. public land. The PLC is still representing those ranchers in in Washington D.C.

The PLC is celebrating its 50th Anniversary this month, and past PLC President and rancher Jim Magagna, shares how and why the PLC was formed

And he says the foundation will be strong looking to the next 50 years ahead.
