Digital marketing is a big thing for agriculture. Brett Spader, executive director of the National Center for Beef Excellence, spoke at the 2018 Angus Convention about using digital technology for marketing in the agriculture industry. He wanted attendees to know digital marketing isn’t for just any age group, all cattlemen can use video to tell their farm or ranch story. Spader noted digital marketing is connecting more producers with buyers and potentially consumers. “increasingly today it has been fascinating to watch cattlemen rely more and more on technology particularly when it relates to what it is they do and what they are passionate about. One of the biggest things we see on a day-to-day basis is using video and Digital aspects to find new genetics to research pedigrees and research new opportunities.”
