**Top negotiators from the U.S. and China are set to talk via video conferencing, and could soon be meeting in person.

White House aide Kellyanne Conway tells agweb.com Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin may go to China soon to continue negotiations.

President Trump met with Chinese President Xi Jinping last month at the G20 summit in Japan where both sides agreed to a trade war truce.

**Tickets are now on sale for Farm Aid's annual music and food festival. This year's Farm Aid returns to the heart of dairy country on Saturday, September 21st, at Alpine Valley Music Theatre in East Troy, Wisconsin, southwest of Milwaukee.

**The California Almond Objective Measurement Report, published by the USDA's National Ag Statistics Service, estimates the 2019 crop will be 2.2 billion pounds, down 3.5% from the 2018 crop.

This year's report projects an almond crop down 12% from the May California Almond Subjective Forecast of 2.5 billion pounds.

Californiaagnet.com reports, the Objective Report collects data later in the growing season, closer to harvest, and is based on an actual count of nuts on the trees versus interviews with farmers.
