Last Saturday night was beef night on the ice at the Idaho Steelheads. A packed crowd came together and celebrated everything beef and Idaho's beef industry and the contributions that the beef industry makes to Idaho's economy. Idaho Beef Councils Traci Bracco said there were all kinds of fun events at the game "from promotions to on ice contests, all night long half off Double R Ranch hamburgers and hotdogs." They also had a charitable component wherein one dollar from every general ticket sale was donated to the Beef Counts campaign which is part of a campaign the Beef Council does with the Idaho Food Bank to provide beef to hungry and food scarce Idahoans. They have been doing this program since 2010 and celebrated their 1 millionth serving that the beef industry has donated during last Saturday night's game. One lucky Steelhead fan went home with a new Traeger grill. What was that fan going to end up cooking. A year's supply of beef complements of the Beef Counts Charitable Campaign. Last Saturday wasn't the first time this has happened. "This is an annual event that we have been doing for four or five years."
