Reuters reports Canadian Trade Minister Ed Fast and Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz announced Monday Canada will be seeking authority from the WTO to use retaliatory measures on U.S. ag and non-ag products - in light of the final ruling and due to the fact that the U.S. has continued to discriminate against Canadian livestock products.

The White House Pollinator Health Task Force announced its National Pollinator Health Strategy Tuesday. The National Corn Growers Association applauds the emphasis on the importance of public-private partnerships and call for continued discussion and collaboration between farmers, industry and government on how to ensure a healthy, robust population of honeybees and other pollinators. NCGA Production and Stewardship Action Team Chair Don Glenn says the strategy underscores that everyone must work together to solve this challenge. NCGA is eager to review the recommendations in detail and is committed to implementing solutions that will improve pollinator health and population while being economically viable and practical for farmers.
