The relocation of Yellowstone National Park bison to tribal lands in Montana can resume, under a Wednesday ruling from the state's Supreme Court that revives a stalled conservation initiative for the animals. Government-sponsored efforts in Montana have the potential to return the burly animals to parts of their historic range, but had been on hold since last year. Critics said the move was illegal under state law.

Restaurant leaders gathered in Washington, D.C., yesterday to begin a campaign calling for the repeal of the Renewable Fuel Standard. The National Council of Chain Restaurants, which is leading the campaign, said the RFS has caused food prices to rise saying the federal RFS mandate drastically manipulates the corn marketplace and increases commodity and food costs across the supply chain -- from farmers and chain restaurants to consumers and diners.

AAA Travel projects 40.8 million Americans will journey 50 miles or more from home during the Independence Day holiday, a 0.8 percent decrease from last year.  The anticipated decline in holiday travel is predominantly due to a shorter holiday period and with the Fourth of July landing on a Thursday this year.
