Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack is re-establishing the Forestry Research Advisory Council - which he says will play a critical role as USDA continues to lead the way in forest conservation efforts. Representative Kristi Noem has introduced legislation to provide a safety net for livestock owners. The EPA has announced the Green Power Partnership Top 50 Green-Powered organizations using electricity from clean, renewable sources such as solar and wind energy. Several businesses and colleges in the Pacific Northwest are among the best in the nation in increasing renewable energy use.
