Wanta wild crazy and unusual place to call waterfowl hunting.

Try New Zealand. An article in the June/July issue of Field and Stream said if you've ever wondered what waterfowling was like in the days before strict regulations you don't need a time machine. You just have to get to New Zealand. Now that's no short order either because reaching the island nation takes a minimum 15 hour flight and a hefty ticket price. But those who make the trek will find public land relatively little competition and 50 duck limits. Here's editor in chief of Field and Stream Colin Kearns. “That's a fun kind of very cool story that we've got in this issue. In New Zealand, if you find yourself at the other side of the world in the summer you can go duck hunting and they've got some really tremendous duck hunting for some pretty wild birds out there including some black swans. And so our writer, Natalie Krebs was there last year and just kind of wrote a short adventure story about what it's like to hunt for waterfowl. And literally it's like a whole other world over there. I've never been to New Zealand but reading that story really made me want to go.”

I've been there but I also have friends who have hunted Red Stag there and they just said it was absolutely sensational. So save up and go.
