Lance Sellars is an accomplished sportsman who really enjoys what the outdoors is all about. When it comes to elk hunting he does all the things you should do to a meticulous degree. His reward? A super trophy bull. "three fellow hunters and I drew a limited entry tag down by my hometown which when I drove up it only had one or two elk. But now we finally drew it. There's only 15 tags in about 2000 people put in for the tags. We drew four of them and spent the whole month down there chasing. We do our homework. We study maps, talk to fish and game officers. A friend that's up there all the time told us to concentrate in a certain area. We found out in July so every weekend we were down in the South Hills scouting, running around in the hills following the elk. We scoped them down to a limited area and when the season hit we were calling in everywhere from 15 to 20 bulls a day. It was different goals and seeing new areas. We finally picked out and concentrated on what we wanted. I finally shot one of the biggest bowls they have on record. We all for limited out with 300+ inch bulls which is unheard of.
