An interesting way to hunt sage hens.

Hunters are defined as much by their individual personalities and particular choices in equipment as they are by what they choose to hunt. For example if you go upland bird hunting, you probably will select a shotgun from your array of firearms and then it's which one....anywhere from a 12 gauge to a 410...and that choice sometimes says something about how good the shooter is. Well, regular guest Randy King hunts sage hens and selects from his line-up of bows. Yup you heard it right. "If you're going out for Sage hen it's kind of a bang or bust moment. You have to be sure you don't get hot and heavy with a shotgun. I'm actually taking my recurve and my dog out. I want to try and get my dog to flush one out and shoot it in the air. I have shot some birds with my bow but those are usually a pheasant. Out of the air sage can, those things are about the size of a goose so I should be able to get one if I get a decent quick shot.
