Damon Bungard, is an outdoorsman to the max and is the product manager for Jackson kayak. He explained the advantages of kayak fishing. Kayak fishing versus being on a boat is a far more intimate process. You become a little more in tune with the water. You are in the water not on the water. You are reading sign differently, you are getting into places the bass boats can't go. You are getting to an pressured, untouched fish because guys that have props simply can't get in there. They are great shallow water craft, great for sneaking into back bays, accessing lakes other guys just can't get to. There's a lot of water out there were no motors are allowed. Even on heavily pressured lakes where there are bass boats, you can get into those areas that are overlooked and untouched. When I think kayak, I think tippy, very unstable. That is a stigma that kayaks have had because when most people think I actually think recreational sea kayak. But fishing kayaks are specifically made to stand and fish from. Most people like to stand in fish, that's the way it is. You can see better, you can sight fish. All of our fishing kayaks are very much designed around standing and fishing.
