Brian Huskey is all kinds of outdoorsmen from conservationist, to very avid all things fishing to being a true believer in the skill of the hunt. “I am just a passionate archery hunter, specifically for elk and mule deer. Those two critters in particular are favorites of mine and I focus a lot of time and energy into those sports every fall. I will go rifle hunting for deer but that doesn’t keep me up at night. My thoughts and imagination spin yarns of chasing elk during the rut with my bow and arrow. I went elk hunting this year, had a fantastic season and harvested my best bull to date. That’s the third one in a row that I have harvested on hunts all by myself. So many elk hunters that I know that were not successful blame it all on the wolf problem. How do you feel about that? Oh no. The best elk hunting areas I have found are areas where there are wolves and in my opinion wolves can be a scapegoat for people who don’t get animals. It’s certainly easy to blame the wolves but I find more and better elk hunting in areas where there are wolves and I find fewer people. So, I don’t have a problem with them myself.” Brian is a professional wildlife photojournalist. I work in flyfishing primarily and a bit of the hunting world doing photography and videos and some media stuff.
