I called the ever knowledgeable Marcus Mitchell, a sales associate at Sportsman's Warehouse because I wanted to talk about shooting sticks. "There are several different styles for shooting sticks. You have the type that are fixed to the rifle, a bipod that would fold down and be expandable from 6 to 8 inches up to 13 to 14 inches sometimes, sometimes more depending on how big you want to put on your rifle. They attached to the swivel stud on most rifles and then some of them have extra swivel studs on them so that you can still attach a sling to it with your sling swivels. Also they make adapters for a quad rail on the front of any style of rifle. There are multiple other styles that incorporate like a vee notch kind of the system along the top of the folding shooting sticks so you can rest a rifle in it. They also make them wear that vee unscrews and you can put on a camera adapter or other types of attachments. Most of the shooting sticks that we have our collapsible so they fit in a pack nicely. You have various diameters based on how heavy you need to be. Most of them have rubberized coatings on the top where you can rest them without marring your gun.
