Dir. of operations for Jackson Kayak, D"Kayak fishing as opposed to being on a boat, it's a far more intimate process. You become just a little bit more in tune with the water, you are in the water not on the water. You are reading sign differently, the biggest thing is you're getting into places the bass boats can't go. You are getting to un-pressured, untouched fish because guys that have props simply can't get in there. They are great shallow water craft, great for sneaking into back bays, accessing lakes other guys just can’t get to. There is a lot of water out there now where motors are not allowed period. So you can fish in a kayak with all the features you want at all the comfort you want. But even on heavily pressured lakes where there are bass boats, you can get back into those areas that have been overlooked and untouched. When I think kayak, I think tippy and unstable. That is a stigma that people have had because most kayaks are viewed as being recreational. But fishing kayaks are specifically made to stand and fish from.
