There is a new fishing fly concurring trout waters across the west. The fly is not a traditional fly but a simple one to tie made out of a household item that your wife probably uses more than you do. If you haven't heard of this new fly fishing sensation it's called the Dust Mop Fly made from the tassels from a mop. When I saw this fly I thought it looked like a submerged October Caddis Bug or as my kids call them, a Perry winkle. Here is a quick way to tie it from Big T fly fishing video.

There you go avid angles, a great wet fly to tie up and add to your box. I Think I'm going to tie my next one with an orange head and black mop piece and see if a steely will take it.
