Metal Detectors

Ever since I was a little kid, I've always wanted a metal detector. I mean who doesn't want to find some historical treasures? Well, you might not make millions but it's a great way to get out and do a little adventuring with friends and family. Here's sales associate Todd, with Sportsman warehouse to share a little more about their metal detectors.

Todd "Ya, I guess starting we have ones at $79 up to $300, the Delta's, Tracker 4 $129, the quick silver is $160, Alpha Bee $199, those are the ones that we have in stock. I mean you can find gold, lead, brass, that's the kind of thing I've found out, you're going to dig a lot of lead and brass casings from people shooting out in the woods but it's always good to dig every target that you come across. I think about a foot is probably maximum on the ones that we have. Fortunately a lot of them went to a 9 V battery, they used to have 6 AA which adds a lot of weight but now they have the 9 volts, which adds a lot of weight but now they've gone to the 9 V and that will last 8 hours with my experience."

So, along with those metal detectors I'm sure you guys have some gold pans as well is that right? What's your preference on those?

"Ya we have plastic and metal, I'd suggest the black plastic that way the gold shows up better. That way they're quieter, the metal ones are kind of noisey."

Todd thanks for the valuable information on metal detectors. Don't forget to check them out online or swing into your local Sportsman Warehouse and check them out.
