Leonard "Hello, Leonard in Camping. How can I help you?"

Tom "Hey, Leonard. This is Tom with Sportsmen Spotlight, and I'm looking into doing a 5 day pack trip and I've got some questions about your Jet boil products. What can you tell me about them?"

Leonard "Great systems. How many days are you going out for?"

Tom "It's going to be about a 5 day trip."

Leonard "Ok, your smaller containers are going to run about a half hour, 20-30 minutes depending on the elevation. The larger ones, we've got some of the larger... I think they are 800 grams. They are going to be a little heavier, but they are going to give you a little extra. So, you kind of have to look at it if you're doing 3 meals a day, about 2 minutes per meal. To boil that water up and dump it in your mountain house. You can kind of calculate how many meals you're going to have to get out of your container. They work great, and it kind of depends. We have probably 4 or 5 different models, we have the MSR and then we've actually got the Jet Boil brand. The concept there is if you want the jet boil itself or the style, you've got the MSR option. They've also got the wind screen around them, compact. You can get the fuel and drop it right inside, so everything's already packaged if you will. They're a great system and you just have to look ahead and calculate how much fuel you're going to use on your trip and if you can pack an extra little bit just in case. Kind of take into account your elevation is going to suck a little more fuel, because it's not going to burn the same as it is down lower."

Tom " Leonard, you're a wealth of knowledge. That's why we like to reach out to Sportsmen Warehouse and talk to their experts."
