Fishing guru Josh Mills as a cause he would like you to jump on board with. “This is something that is near and dear to my heart. The Wild Steelhead Coalition is a group founded in the late 90s and early 2000's by a bunch of dedicated steelhead conservationists and fishermen, many different stakeholders that recognize the rapid decline of the Puget Sound steelhead around the Northwest, rivers over by Seattle and the like. This group has expanded and focused on everything from the Northwest all the way down to the steelhead range which ranges from Northeast Alaska to Southern California. Steelhead are still returning in very limited numbers to such places as Malibu Creek. It is an all volunteer organization on which I am a board member and very proud to be. I chose the organization because everything that drives them is what is best for the fish. The fish are a conduit for economic vitality, genetic revitalization meaning letting fish yield themselves because a lot of times if you'll just get out of the way of these fish in terms of recovery, provided they have good habitat, they will recover.
