Today we talk with Al Strup who is a sales associate at sportsman's warehouse and the subject is goose decoys. "With geese it depends on whether you are going to hunt in water or in a field. We have the standard Canadian decoys. Now there are six different species of geese. Typically what people buy is either greater Canadian or they will go with one of the smaller ones. So they call that the lesser Canadians. And we have field and water. What a lot of people will do is put out a duck spread and then they will buy six floaters in greater Canadian and they put those out, they are kind of like a confidence decoy and they will help bring the ducks in too. And then if you have geese flying overhead, you have a chance of pulling in the geese. In the field decoys, I normally put out 300. That's a flock. Well, I'm hunting with two or three guys and it doesn't take us long because they are all field decoys. They just stand up and you are in the field and you just hunt the field.
