Duck decoys. What with duck season upon us I called sportsman's warehouse sales associate Al Strupp and asked for his recommendations for decoys. "We carry mallards, pintails, teal, shovelers, some wigeons, some bufflehead, that's just a pretty good example of what we have. What would you recommend? The first thing I am going to ask you is are you going to hunt divers or puddle ducks. If you're hunting divers, you are going to want to stay with the wigeons, Teal, shovelers, they are ducks that died down and get their food. Your puddle ducks are good to be more like your mallards, pintails, maybe some canvas back, stuff like that. Normally, everybody buys either a half a dozen or a dozen mallards. How about cost? Anywhere from $36 a dozen for your standard, low base type decoys. When you get to a little better like the GNH, it's got cost you about 60 bucks for six, they are just a better looking decoy, a little more realistic.
