6-23 SS Bow Stabilizer
Tactical Archery Systems has introduced what they claim is the world’s first tactical stabilizer with side-to-side adjustable accessory rails to compensate for bow torque at full draw which insures that accessories (lights, lasers, etc.) will stay aligned with the target instead of moving off to the side, due to riser twist. The stabilizer represents the first use of Picatinny rails for archery.
Here’s Clay Reinarz, V. President of Tactical Archery Systems to describe his innovation. “My partner and I do our best thinking on hunting trips but we are also gun enthusiasts so we trade a lot of stuff as far as archery adapted from the tactical gun market. We realize that there are so many accessories out there. It’s a picatinney rail which is a standardized rail which is on every AR 15 or 16 and we thought how cool would be to have a stabilizer that would have three of those rails on it that you could kind of custom configure. The basic stabilizers you see now that have lights are just that a light that screws in. So what we did is create a stabilizer that has these rails that you could put anything on them that has a standard style Weaver style base. So any kind of light, laser, bipod that you can find for and an AR 15 will fit on this. In addition we are looking to develop some camera mounts and review looking to get into some bow fishing stuff where you can have a Weaver style base for rods and reels and all that good stuff.
