2-10 SS Project Wild

 Using wildlife as a means to get across readin’, writin’ and ‘rithmetic. Project WILD is one of the most widely-used conservation and environmental education programs among educators of students in kindergarten through high school. It is based on the premise that young people and educators have a vital interest in learning about our natural world. Having grown from its origins in the 13 western states, Project WILD is now officially sponsored throughout the US and in several countries.

Typically, state wildlife agencies work in cooperation with state departments of education for state-wide implemetation. This state-level partnership between the public agencies responsible for education and wildlife is unique and a model for others.
