American Angus Association Intern Represents the West

Representing the West as one of the three American Angus Association's summer interns is Oklahoma State University senior JD Rosman. Since early May he has been working in St. Joseph in the Angus Association's public relations department.

He shares what he is enjoying about his role

Rosman: "I really like this type of work, I like being able to do a little bit of everything but really focus on the communication aspect. Its nice to be working right now for a beef breed in the beef industry that really has a lot of pull within the industry. That can really affect what goes on politically and has a lot of information going out to producers to really affect how they raise their product. So from that stand point it is really exciting. I like the communications aspect of getting that information out to producers to better their herd and better their operation and really be able to tell Angus' story right now and the story of the beef industry in its entirety."

In addition to writing news releases and getting ready for the National Jr Angus Show in early July, Rosman continues with what his position entails

Rosman: "I work with the Angus Report and help cut segments and produce video packages there and then just a little bit of everything. If we need a script wrote for the Angus Report, I can help with that. If we need something designed real fast for Jr. Nationals that is on my to do list. Just a little bit of everything. Later this year I will be able to write one or two feature articles for the Angus Journal."
