Bull Sales Around the Region

The Washington Cattlemen’s Association Bull Test and Sale happened on Wednesday in Eltopia. Many ranchers from were attended either in person or via the internet to watch the sale and purchase one of the many bulls offered.
I asked the Sale Manager Gary Kendall of Kendall Cattle Sales to share an update of how the bull sale season has gone and he would know as he travels to as many cattle sales as anyone in the region.
Kendall: “Well the bull season this year was exceptional good. It continued from the time they were selling in the fall til now. Quality has improved over the last few years and also the cattle prices have been indicative of being able to pay. more bulls and people can see that the end product is going to receive some reward for buying a better bull. They’ve been able to sell bulls — there are very few unsold bulls. We’re going into that time of the year that it is turn-out time. I would say that it will taper off here but I’d look for another strong season again next year because cattle prices have stayed up and the supply of bulls is less than what is out there now for people wanting the demand for them.”
