Oregon Cattlemen's Association Has New Executive

The Oregon Cattlemen’s Association has a new executive director at its helm. Jerome Rosa was hired at the end of the September and is no stranger to the beef industry as he served eight years on the Oregon Beef Council and is a past chairman of the council.
Though he is a fourth generation dairyman — he says he has much in common with the OCA members he serves who raise beef as he understands the 365-days-a-year and 24-hour-a-day job and shares a passion for the beef industry. He wants members to know.
Rosa: “And I’m glad to travel anywhere, to go and talk them and am concerned about their issues. I’ve been on the job a month and half. I’ve been to Burns, I’ve been to Baker City, Bend, Prineville, Medford — so I’ve put on thousands of miles already in the last six weeks. I’m glad to do it and I enjoy that. I’m there to represent the industry and I feel like hands on is the best way to do that. It is what the people who hired me, asks of me and so that is what I’m going to do.”
In addition to serving on the Oregon Beef Council, he served a four year term as a board member on the Board of Agriculture for the State of Oregon.
