WCA Annual Convention

WCA Annual Convention

The annual Washington Cattlemen’s Association Convention will be held in Spokane November 12 through the 14. If you haven’t attended in a while, Washington Cattlemen’s Association Executive Vice President Jack Field encourages you to be there.
Field: “You can’t afford not to come. There is so much happening and going on — I guarantee that you will leave with some information that will benefit you. Most importantly for those who hasn’t been to convention in a while I would hope that they would come. It is a great opportunity to reconnect with old friends and make new friends and hopefully learn something new about the industry that will help enhance their profitability and management.”
Field continues with some of the what the convention schedule entails.
Field: “Wednesday morning the 12th we will have our Cattlemen’s College that will run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. We’ve got some interesting speakers we will hear from on Thursday. Jeff Gieger from TCU is going to come in and speak about the market — where we are and where we are headed — some crystal ball projections as well as talking about some of the challenges he sees facing us in beef production now and into the future. Thursday evening we will have our Endowment Trust Fund Auction. Friday morning we will have a discussion on animal health issues. The new Washington State veterinarian Dr. Baker will be joining us. Friday evening we will have our banquet.”
To register go to wacattle.org or call the WCA office.
