Black Friday & Regional Meeting

Black Friday & Regional Meeting

Black Friday & Regional Meeting. I'm Greg Martin with today's Northwest Report.

Today has become known as Black Friday and by the time this report airs many people will have already been on the streets for hours looking for bargains. I've only ever been out on a Black Friday once in the early hours and was quite underwhelmed with it. Growing numbers of people are becoming disillusioned with the whole idea and according to Amanda Woods and extension expert more people are just not buying into the whole idea.

WOODS: But people are opting to not run out at midnight on Thanksgiving or three o'clock the next morning because they know they'll probably get just as good a deal on Cyber-Monday or even throughout the holiday season online and even in stores.

Far West Agribusiness Association's 2015 December Winter Conference and 56th Annual Meeting will be at the Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick, Washington, starting on Tuesday, December 8th through Thursday, December 10th. Fertilizer and chem businesses, experts and more will come together to discuss New Technology/Cropping Systems, Safety/Regulatory, Maintenance/Service/Repair, Management and others. You can register for the conference online at fwaa.org.

That's today's Northwest Report. I'm Greg Martin on the Ag Information Network of the West.
