This is Bob Larson with the Market Line Report for Thursday, Oct 4th. Cattle traded light and a little down on Wednesday. From the floor of the CME in Chicago, here's Virginia McGathey.

McGATHEY ... "Today, cattle slipped a little bit. There has been some profit taking. There's not much cash cattle trade today so maybe over the next two days we're going to get a little bit more. We kind of expected it would start to pick up somewhat so we're watching that closely. The lackluster trade has really been kind of pressuring the futures and pushing it down, but not that much. I mean, it's still, we gave back some of the profits we made over the past couple of days and that has created some volatility so we're expecting that we're going to have a little bit of that. Not much really happening."
