This is Bob Larson with the Market Line Report for Wednesday, May 16th. The cattle market takes a tumble on Tuesday. From the floor of the CME in Chicago, here's Larry Shover.

SHOVER ... "The Tuesday, May 15th livestock commentary, talking about June live cattle, after closing down limit yesterday, live cattle down another 1-and-a-half today putting live cattle in the June contract at a 3-month 13.5% loss. All that, wholesale prices are mixed. Choice down .26 cents at $231.86. On the other hand, select up $1.05 at $210.17."

Chicago July Wheat prices closed yesterday dp 2 ¼ at 494 ½

July Corn was up 5 ¾ at 402

Portland prices for soft white wheat of Ordinary Protein for July ended the day up ¾ ranging from 5-75 to 5-91 ½ Hard Red Winter wheat with 11 ½ % protein, prices for May were unch ranging from 6-34 ¾ to 6-54 ¾ DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for May were up 4 ¾ ranging from 7-56 ¼ to 7-71 ¼

Live Cattle for June were dn $1.65 at 102.92 ½ May Feeder cattle are dn $1.85 to 133.60 May Class III milk was up .03 cents at 15.27
