This is Bob Larson with the Market Line Report for Friday, October 6th The grain market pushes up Thursday with wheat holding steady. With more from the floor of the CME in Chicago, here's Virginia McGathey ...

McGathey ... "The export competition just keeps the futures prices in check right now. Russia did have a huge crop coming out and their exports are really beating us as far as price goes. Even though, the U.S. does have some low prices it's just not low enough and it's making it difficult for us to compete with them. But, there is still some demand down the road and we are starting to eat through some of our supplies so it's helping somewhat. Because of the delay of the planting, we also are getting a delay of the numbers coming in here at harvest time. And so, as those yield numbers come in, we'll get a better idea of what direction the markets going to go."
