This is Matt Rice with the Market Line Report for March 2nd. The stronger US dollar has been helping the beef market maintain a solid foundation. Here's Scott Shellady with the CME Group as he shares more insight on the Livestock Market.

Chicago markets, July wheat prices closed the day dn 3 ¾, at 466 ¾. Chicago July Corn prices were dn 3, to finish the day at 385 ½. Prices in Portland for Soft White Winter Wheat of ordinary protein for Aug. NC were unch – dn 3 ¾, ranging from 4-73 to 4-81 ¼. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11.5 % protein, future prices for Aug. NC were dn 6 ½, ranging from 5-55 ½ to 5-70 ½. DNS Wheat with 14 % protein, prices for June were dn 7 ¼, ranging from 6-68 ¾ to 6-83 ¾. Aug. Live Cattle finished the day dn $1.05, at 101.95. May Feeder cattle were dn $1.97 ½, at 121.50. May class III milk was up 12 cents at 16-02.
