This is Matt Rice with the Market Line Report for March 2nd. Optimistic traders eagerly keep an eye on China as there's been some talk of lifting the ban on the US beef supply. Here's Virginia McGathey with the CME Group as she reports on the Livestock Market.

Starting with those Chicago markets, July wheat prices closed the day 12 ¼, at 471 ¼. Chicago July Corn prices were up 8 ¼, to finish the day at 389 ¼. Prices in Portland for Soft White Winter Wheat of ordinary protein for June were up 12 ½ to 3, ranging from 4-80 ¾ to 4-82. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11.5 % protein, future prices for May were up 14 ½, ranging from 5-63 ½ to 5-73 ½. DNS Wheat with 14 % protein, prices for June were up ¼- 10 ¼, ranging from 6-76 to 6-91. Aug. Live Cattle finished the day up 57 ½, at 102.55. May Feeder cattle were dn $1.02 ½, at 123.40. May class III milk was dn 31 cents at 15-98.
