World's Wheat Supplies Condition Boosts U.S. Wheat Prices

I’m KayDee Gilkey with the Market Line Report for November 27, 2014.
Happy Thanksgiving, may your day be filled with family, friends and fabulous food brought to you by our nation’s hard working farm families. Wednesday continued with higher wheat prices due in part from poor wheat conditions around the world. From the floor of the CME Group, Gary Kozlowski shares his observations of Wednesday’s markets.
Kozlowski: “South America’s crop is considered in poor condition right now and that is helping keeping the wheat prices on this range that we’ve been trading in lately. Wheat here is continuing to trend up and lower U.S. dollar is always helping on some of the exports. French wheat prices have been done. The Euro wheat production has been dominate in the markets right now. They’ve been supplying most of the Middle East and North Africa for their demands.”
Chicago December Wheat ended Wednesday up 10 and 1/2 at 5-62. December corn ended the day up 4 cents at 3-78 and 1/4.
Portland prices for soft white wheat were up a nickel at mostly 7-17 and 3/4. White club wheat prices were up a nickel at mostly 9-59 and 1/2. Hard Red Winter wheat with 11.5 percent protein prices were up 4 and 1/4 cents at mostly 7-50 and 1/4. DNS wheat with 14 percent protein prices were up 2 cents at mostly 9-63 and 3/4.
December live cattle were down 90 cents on Wednesday at 169-25. January Feeder cattle were down 87 and half cents at 230-50. December class III milk was down 38 cents at 18-even.
