If you have questions concerning the safety of consuming animal products that have been fed GMO feeds then listen up. Dr. Deborah Aaron at University of Kentucky and President of the American Society of Animal Science may give you some comfort. "To be classified as organic, those animals that are used in organic production systems cannot be fed feed from crops that are genetically engineered. We just wanted to issue our position relative to that so that those people who read it might be a little bit calmed with regard to any fears that they might have. If you go to the social media, there's a couple out there that are really good that try to address the primary questions that people might have from what exactly is a genetically modified crop, all the way from what it is to providing scientific data and information to answer some of the most common questions that the general public might have about whether animal derived foods are safe if those animals have consumed genetically modified crops. There are no health risks to humans from consuming products derived from animals that have been fed GE crops whether that is meat or milk. When you look at the meat, when you look at the milk from these animals and you try and compare it between animals that were fed GE crops to those that were not, there is no difference. You can not detect any difference between the final product.
