U.S. February Tractor & Combine Sales Up by Double-Digits

According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturer's monthly "Flash Report," the sale of all tractors in the U.S. in 2018, were up 17% in February compared to 2018.

For the year, a total of 24,322 tractors were sold which compares to 21,846 sold in 2018 representing an 11% increase for the year, reports Agri Marketing magazine.

During February, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) were up 25% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP were up 7%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP were down 2%, while 4-wheel drive tractors were up 30%.

Two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) are up 20% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP are even. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP are down 3%, while 4-wheel drive tractors are up 34%.

Meanwhile, combine sales were up 22% for the month. Sales of combines for the year totaled 566 compared to 479 in 2018, an 18% increase.
